The
Rating a Rate module will give you hands-on step-by-step practice
reading clinical research. This type of research investigates differences
in rates of disease between populations or changes over time in the same
population. It will build on the material presented in the Rating a Rate
section of the book. The module includes:
- The M.A.A.R.I.E. framework adapted to the Rating
a Rate section of Studying a Study and Testing a Test including
Questions to Ask for Rating a Rate.
- Application of the Rating a Rate M.A.A.R.I.E.
framework to a New England Journal of Medicine article evaluating changes
in pneumococcal disease after the introduction of a new vaccine.
