| The
Studying a Study module will give you hands-on step-by-step practice
reading clinical research. It will build on the material presented in the
Studying a Study section of the book. This module starts with the Cries syndrome flaw-catching exercise. This is the same exercise that appears in the first chapter of Studying a Study and Testing a Test. The exercise and accompanying questions and answers are designed to give you a feel for the types of questions that you will be asking and answering as you learn to study a study. Begin by reading the Cries syndrome exercise
using the arrow at the bottom of this screen or by clicking on the Cries
syndrome exercise on the navigation bar. Fourteen questions and answers
along with help screens for each question follow the exercise. The Studying a Study module continues by analyzing four
real articles from the New England Journal of Medicine or the Journal
of the American Medical Association (JAMA). If you do not have access
to these journals you can obtain the articles by clicking on the following
links: Journal
of the American Medical Association (JAMA) So let's get started. |
