elcome to Studying a Study Online, an electronic workbook to accompany the 5th edition of Studying a Study and Testing a Test: How to Read the Medical Evidence.

You're in the right place if you want to learn to read the health research literature using the Studying a Study and Testing a Test approach. Whether you're a health professional, a health professional student, or a health researcher you need to learn how to read the medical evidence in order to put progress into practice.

Studying a Study Online includes six modules, one for each section of
Studying a Study and Testing a Test. A final self-assessment section, Test Yourself, includes questions and answers on each section of the book. Each hands-on exercise provides interactive practice and immediate feedback on your answer.

The Web site is easy to navigate.

  • The navigation bar on your left will take you to the modules and the exercises within each module. At anytime you can use this bar to return to the beginning of an exercise or go to another module or another exercise.

  • The left and right pointing arrows at the bottom of each screen will move you forward or backwards one screen as you work through each exercise.

  • The Home button located at the top of your screen will bring you back to this page.
